The Earth Turns, We Cycle

Life is a cycle.

Farming or gardening teaches us this principle. There is a time to plant, a time to harvest, and a time to prepare the soil for planting.

I happen to be in that last cycle for my massive garden area right now. And I'm trying something different that I've never done before so we'll see if it works. Gardening always involves some kind of experiment for me, whether it's some new plant, or a new place, or some new technique.

Well, this is the year for techniques. I'm using cardboard.

Apparently, worms love the cardboard, so I put a layer down, and then put leaves and manure and dirt on top of it. By the time Spring comes around I should have very rich soil for planting.

How does this apply to life?

We can take a look at where we are in life, or in a project, or in some kind of situation and decide if we are preparing the soil, planting, or harvesting.

Maybe there are a different set of cycles in the environment you're in, but there is most likely a cycle. So, move up a level and see things at another level.

Own your cycle. Master it. Prepare for the next one.

It's coming whether you're ready or not.

I'll be ready for an amazing planting. (Hopefully.)

(And experiment.)
